How Sticky Likes Got Started

It all started back in April or May of 2019 when I was in recovery after an accident that rendered me immobile. During this period as I was slowly getting back to work I got a text from an old Eastern European veteran networker friend that said:

Do you have instagram?” This was a surprise since she’s my age and I had thought that people our age are “supposed” to be too old for IG.

When we caught up, she informed me about a new program that worked with Instagram, she told me it was a great opportunity. After reading about Instagram’s stats and growth, I knew it was the place to be, but my old account (@roccofish) was hacked years ago  :(~

The timing of this conversation seemed meaningful but I had ZERO desire to be in an MLM; especially one that seemed haphazardly set up and in a completely foreign language with a subpar translation that made no sense. But the Instagram stats were eye opening.

I was excited about Instagram and its potential so I  set up a new profile and became a customer of Mega Likes. Getting likes and followers became fun, and I got into the habit of posting daily. I could totally see how powerful Instagram exposure is.

After experiencing how it (MegaLikes) worked, I decided to share it with my friends. With the loyalty program three referrals gave me free access. So I decided to reach out to friends who I knew were paying for traffic.

Long story short, I listened to their feedback and I quickly understood their concerns which kept coming up over and over again.

“I’m not interested in getting foreign text letters and symbols on my profile”

“Where’s the info on the website?”

“Because of the sad state of the website and limited info, it doesn’t make me feel confident”  

These same friends encouraged me to build something in the US with a proper website and legal compliance, I decided to think about it. Meanwhile, I continued with my daily posting until all of a sudden everything stopped. Instagram had changed its algorithm, and it was game over for Mega Likes.

I officially decided to create Sticky Likes

After talking to my personal team about the tech and concept I decided to move forward with a better model that’s compliant, professional, and transparent. I consulted with marketers, networkers, and legal counsel to ensure that Sticky Likes will be the very best it can be.

We’ve reviewed and analyzed the best corporate structure, compensation structure, and website security providers. After days of masterminding and debate, model comparisons and the risk assessment of each model was carefully reviewed. Sticky Likes is based out of Delaware, and everything is above board. My reputation is very important to me and I want you to know that I value you and your business.

I feel very fortunate to have the counsel I have, I now have a much clearer vision of what needs to happen in the MLM and the DS (direct sales) space in order to be legal and sustainable. I am a firm believer that you can never be over-insured, I am now of the same belief with counsel. Having sound and solid counsel to guide you is priceless!

Contractions, birthing pains, and delays?

At any rate, there have been delays. Things like site programming and testing, legal review of our corporate structure, and the mother of all delays—merchant processing.

When it comes to the MLM industry, merchant processors have many requirements and restrictions. We’ve transparently provided whatever documentation the bank has requested, and we’ve answered all of their questions. I could be a circus acrobat by now after jumping through all of their hoops. But if this is what must be done in order to offer you a solid business with staying power that honors the US and its citizens I’m game!

Fast forward to 12/30/2019 and Sticky Likes prepares its launch for January 4th, 2020.
